  • Drivers must be 21 or older with a valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
  • Seatbelts are required for all passengers at all times while the cart is moving.
  • No driving across bridges — Please stay on the island.
  • No distracted or impaired driving — please stay focused and never drink and drive.
  • Stay on the roads: Carts are not permitted on sidewalks, bike paths, beaches, or utility paths.
  • Child safety: If your child requires a car seat in a regular vehicle, they’ll need the same setup in the cart.
  • No lap riding: All passengers must have their own seat. Small children count as a passenger.
  • Follow all traffic laws: Golf carts are street-legal vehicles, so obey all standard traffic rules and signs.
